The Value of International Academic Exchanges and Internationalisation

Abstract

One of the strengths of the SCCL is bringing people together, whether researchers, students, practitioners, judges or others with an interest in law, for discussions as to the current state of the law, the dissemination of research, and other topical issues. Many of these individuals are active outside of Sweden, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience back into the SCCL. In the same vein, many of the researchers at the SCCL and Juridicum1 go abroad, seeking knowledge, new contacts and new ideas. This chapter focuses on the value of international exchanges for academics and students at the SCCL and Juridicum within the broader context of internationalisation generally.
